INFORMATION

Liverpool Tool Library is driven by community, sharing resources and sustainablility. We are a volunteer led organisation welcoming everyone and aim to give those who may not  have access to tools the opportunity. We believe in fixing to feel good and to reduce waste.

Once we are a bit more settled we’re on the look out for anyone who would like to be involved in this project, particularly those with an oomf for community, or a love for tools.

 Manifesto

We will reach out to those who have less opportunity to use tools or acquire DIY skills.

︎

People over profit and high earnings, the priority is to create a sustainable long term system that benefits all of its members & volunteers to its fullest potential. This includes keeping the cost of annual membership as low as possible.

︎

Volunteers will be relied upon heavily to keep the library affordable for everyone. We hope to give back to our volunteers through experience, membership and being part of a social project.

︎

Our goal is to be a resource that is completely integrated and used by as many Liverpool inhabitants as possible. In doing so reducing the amount of people individually buying tools that are rarely used and promoting a greener way forward.

︎

Safety is something we take seriously and we will take due precaution to ensure that those who are are handling tools within our space are trained fully. For our members we will be there to guide and teach where possible, however a liability waiver is in place to ensure that knowledge of responsibility once out of our space is theirs.

︎

Conversation and momentum for this manifesto will be continued by stepping out into public accessible spaces. Creating meet-ups, running workshops and events.
