How do I become a member of Liverpool Tool Library?

You can purchase an annual membership by clicking the ‘SIGN UP’ icon below. Make sure to read the membership/tool use agreement and click through to choose the membership that suit’s your current situation best.


The easiest way to become a member is to sign up online. If you prefer, you can pop into the tool library and we’ll be happy to assist. 

You will need proof of ID and proof of address (dated within 3 months) when you come to pick up your first order. You will need to have a payment card on file with myTurn (inventory software).

How much does it cost?

We work on a pay what you can afford basis, with £30 being the amount we suggest for an annual membership - and that’s the only cost!

Where does the money go?

All proceeds go towards maintaining the service that we provide (e.g by helping to pay for rent, insurance, tool parts and maintenance, events, etc).

How do I reserve tools?

You can reserve up to 8 tools at a time and loans are for 7 days with the option to extend your loan for another 7 days (2 week loan maximum) if nobody else has reserved them.

Wedesdays 4pm - 7pm and Saturdays between 10am - 1pm.

Any thing else I should know?

Tools returned unclean will incur a charge. Cleaning your own tools saves our voltuneers from having to do it on your behalf, and less time cleaning means more time spent helping members.
